We saw one – yes, that’s right – a real Donkey. We sat there with a pen and pad and sketched it over 300 times. Each version got better and better. Day and night we sat there, feverishly sketching, shirts soaked with sweat until this guy with a smooth, swirly moustache came up to us and said, ‘enough’. That’s when we knew we had designed a more than OK Donkey Skinny tie.
The hand-sewn approach allows the Donkey Thin tie to show extraordinary detail as there is little machinery used in the crafting of this tie. Touches such as these make all the difference.
